Happiness Triggers Anxiety

I am sitting on my private deck under an umbrella looking out at beautiful mountains and listening to great music. I am in one of my favorite places in the world, the Colorado Rocky Mountains. I am taking my first real vacation in a year and I have no other responsibility for the next few days than to enjoy the company of people I love dearly. Happiness. Right? Bliss even. But then a twinge of a headache most likely from altitude or dehydration or both, and my lesser self can take it to the beginning of an anuerysm in less than 60 seconds. What's up with that?

Today is not a one time occurrence for me bur I have bene able to manage through mindfulness and being very present in the moment. I swore at my journal burning that I would no longer write about my sloppy feelings and the self-pitying whine they illustrate but I am sharing the story to share a resource that has helped me immensely in dealing with my depression and anxiety.

It's a website called www.themighty.com and it has a weatlh of information about all types of mental illness. They gave active communty forums as well.
