A Living Lesson in Believing

Six weeks or so ago, in mid-April, I was in a pretty dark place. It was clear that the gallery would transition out of a bricks-and-mortar store to an event centered model leaving me with no work for the upcoming summer. I had applied for a half a dozen or so service-oriented jobs in the area but as has been the case for the past six years, finding a "job" for someone with my background and age is a huge challenge.
I decided to change my morning mantra to "Remove the obstacles that are keeping me from the life of abundance and joy that I deserve" and two weeks later, my significant other of the past 15 years ended the relationship abruptly with no more reasoning than that he had become unhappy.
But on that same day, the day when the future as I had always assumed it would be blew up, I got an email from a job I had applied for but thought was a long shot at best. It was the position of Patient Care Coordinator at the top cosmetic and dermatological practice in the valley - Dr. Tim Jochen's Contour Dermatology. The job description was dreamy and basically broke down to helping people feel better about themselves and working with them through the process of doing so.
The twists and turns of the next four weeks are of interest in and of themselves and will certainly be stories that are shared in the future, but just 3 days ago, six weeks after asking the universe to take care of whatever was keeping me from my happiness, I started a new job, a new career and a completely new phase of my life. I intend to make this the best, the most productive, the most financially successful, the most creative and the most fun. Hang with me here and we'll see what happens.
