Putting the final touches on next year's travel schedule and wanted to share it with you. You may notice a theme of escaping the heat and, having livied through another day of sweltering heat, I am more determined than ever to avoid this kind of weather. I am also trying to focus on travel experiences that I enjoy best which include longer stays in fewer places. Give me a week or two in single location so I can get to know it. A month is even better if the vibe and the tribe are right.

In January I am heading to Alaska again to experience my newest travel crush in winter. Scheduled right after the holidays, I am hosting my first Sleep Vacation. You don't necessarily have to sleep all day but you do absolutely have to unplug and relax. Three days and four nights in a 5 star home in Anchorage, we will have an inhouse chef, a masseuse and access to every streaming service known to man. The house has five bedrooms so looking for anyone who wants to completely unwind after the holidays. Come see the Northern Lights and maybe even a moose or two. $1500 for 4 nights and three days, includes airport transfers and food and drinks.

February and March I am thrilled to be in one of the most sought after locations in the world for that time of year - right here at home in Palm Springs. If you haven't visited the desert yet, make it a plan for this year. And come in February not August or September. If you decide to visit I would love to take you on a tour of the High Desert to meet some of the local artists in their studios. See a part of Palm Springs not yet discovered and meet your next favorite artist.

April and finally doing a trip I have been planning in my head for years - A Tour of the Deep South. It's my hospitality showcase as we travel from Memphis to New Orleans with stops in Oxford, Mississippi for the Double Decker festival, at the Crossroads in Clarksdale - the birthplace of the Blues, the Southern mansions of Natchez and ending up in one of my all time favorite places on the planet, New Orleans, Louisiana. There is so much about the South that needs to be changed but there is much that is good and worthy of celebration. Details being worked out so stay tuned for pricing but the dates will be April 22 to 29.

The rest of the year is sketched out on a cocktail napkin and subject to whims and opportunities but I am hoping it looks something like this: May - A family festival in Hampton Bays, New York June - Scandinavia: A European vacation where you won't have to worry about the temperatures. With an emphasis on food and wine it will also include a visit to the Foteviken Viking Market - a Viking themed festival complete with re-enactments and Viking warriors from around the world for competitions and a night in the Ice Castle. July - August - Colombia and Spanish immersion September - Maine and the East Coast October - Repositioning cruise November - Southeast Asia which is so wide open for me it may well lap into December

So glad I have a new passport with plenty of pages for stamping. Hope you want to come along. Adventures await us both.
